Country Human Resources Manager – Sudan

About the role

Humanity & Inclusion is seeking a Country Human Resources Manager to lead HR activities in Sudan. Based in Khartoum, you will report to the Country Director and act as the main liaison with headquarters HR operations, ensuring that HR functions support the country’s operational strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the local HR team, overseeing recruitment, contracts, payroll and staff administration.
• Design, adapt and implement the HR component of the country’s operational strategy (Stratop) in line with HI’s financial and policy frameworks.
• Deploy, monitor and continuously improve HI’s HR policies, processes and tools, ensuring compliance with local labour legislation.
• Oversee internal audit, control and archiving procedures related to HR documentation.
• Coordinate career management, skills development and performance management systems for all staff.
• Support managers in applying HI’s HR policies and assist the Country/Regional Manager with the Code of Conduct, PSEA, fraud and corruption policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing HR functions in an international or humanitarian organization.
• Strong knowledge of Sudanese labour law and HR best practices.
• Ability to lead a team, analyse contextual changes and identify risks and opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French or Arabic is an asset.
