Amharic Translator – Remote, $40‑$95/hr

About the role

We are looking for a native‑level Amharic speaker to join our remote team as a language expert. The role involves translating, localising, and adapting content between Amharic and English while supporting AI model training and multimedia projects.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, localise, and adapt written content between Amharic and English.
• Edit and proofread materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Perform dubbing and voice‑over recordings for multimedia and AI training datasets.
• Process and engineer audio recordings to ensure high‑quality output.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support AI model training and language development.
• Annotate, evaluate, and refine language data for machine‑learning applications.
• Provide linguistic insights to improve workflows and language accuracy.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Amharic with strong English skills.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, and localisation.
• Solid background in linguistics or language analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audio engineering tools and workflows.
• Experience in dubbing and voice‑over work.
