WASH Coordinator (M/F) – N'Djamena

About the role

Solidarités International is seeking a WASH Coordinator (M/F) to lead water, sanitation and hygiene activities in N'Djamena following the 2023 conflict that forced the evacuation of Khartoum. The position starts on 15/09/2026 for a six‑month mission.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of WASH programmes, ensuring safe drinking water, adequate sanitation and hygiene promotion.
• Monitor and evaluate project activities against humanitarian standards and donor requirements.
• Collaborate with local authorities, partners and community leaders to facilitate access and acceptance.
• Prepare technical reports, budgets and logistical plans for the mission.
• Support the safety and security of staff and beneficiaries in a conflict‑affected environment.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education in water, sanitation, public health or humanitarian assistance.
• Experience working in emergency or conflict settings, preferably in the Sahel region.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to rapidly changing conditions and travel within the country.
