Space Applications Expert, Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Non‑Key Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The expert will lead the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation services and applications, leveraging Copernicus data to address development, climate and environmental challenges across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Earth Observation‑based services and applications in sectors such as early warning, climate monitoring, agriculture, water management and biodiversity.
• Coordinate with African institutions and stakeholders to promote user uptake of Copernicus products.
• Contribute to proposal preparation and technical documentation for the AESPP Boost project.
• Provide expert advice on integrating EO data into policy dialogue, innovation initiatives and private‑sector engagement.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services or climate/environmental services.
• Minimum 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO services using Copernicus data.
• Demonstrated experience working with African institutions is an asset.
• Fluent English; working knowledge of French or Portuguese considered a plus.
