Roving Partnership Officer

About the role

The Roving Partnership Officer will support Save the Children’s locally‑led delivery model in Great Kordofan, working from the El Obeid office and travelling regularly to partner sites. The role focuses on building and maintaining strategic collaborations with national NGOs, community organisations, government ministries and private‑sector actors to advance child rights and programme impact.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen equitable, strategic partnerships across the full programme cycle, ensuring partners are engaged in planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
• Develop and update partnership agreements, contribute to proposal development and support partners in organisational capacity‑building.
• Coordinate daily liaison between partners and Save the Children teams (operations, finance, MEAL, sector leads) to align activities and resources.
• Monitor compliance with Save the Children’s safeguarding policies (Level 3) and reporting requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and feedback to partners on programme standards, child protection, health, nutrition, education and other sector priorities.
• Travel up to 50 % of the time to partner offices throughout North Kordofan and the Central States.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership management or coordination within humanitarian or development programmes.
• Familiarity with child safeguarding standards and the ability to work with children and young people safely.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the capacity to work across diverse cultural and organisational contexts.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Sudan.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
