International Consultant to Implement Complex Risk Analytics Fund (CRAF’d) Project Activities

About the role

UN Women is seeking an International Consultant to provide technical and programmatic implementation support for the Complex Risk Analytics Fund (CRAF’d) project in Sudan. The consultant will ensure the production of timely, high‑quality gender data and analysis to inform humanitarian response, peacebuilding and policy decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the standardisation, quality assurance and production of Gender Analysis Reports using UN Women’s Gender Analysis toolkit.
• Design gender‑sensitive data‑collection methodologies, produce country‑specific gender alerts and snapshots with actionable recommendations.
• Plan and facilitate data‑validation workshops and coordinate with Women‑Resource Officers (WROs) and Women‑Liaison Officers (WLOs).
• Conduct comprehensive gender analyses of crisis impacts, power relations, and intersectional factors.
• Map formal and informal actors, assess gendered roles and influence, and identify capacity‑building needs.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for WROs/WLOs and other stakeholders on gender statistics in humanitarian settings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in gender analysis within crisis or conflict contexts, preferably in humanitarian or peace‑building environments.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Project Coordinator while maintaining neutrality with all conflict actors.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in producing gender‑focused reports, alerts and policy recommendations.
• Experience in capacity‑building, workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement.

Required skills

• Familiarity with UN Women’s Gender Analysis in Crisis and Conflict settings toolkit.
• Competence in designing and implementing gender‑sensitive data‑collection tools and methodologies.
• Ability to conduct gender mapping, intersectional analysis and produce evidence‑based recommendations.
