Resident Implementation & Systems Integration Engineer

About the role

The Resident Implementation & Systems Integration Engineer will lead on‑site delivery of a large‑scale CCTV, control‑room and communications infrastructure project in Sudan. Acting as the primary technical representative for SCEC and its partner, the role ensures all installation, integration and migration activities meet quality, safety and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise subcontractors for civil works, tower foundations, grounding, lightning protection and outdoor cabinet installation.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of AXIS cameras, structured cabling, surge protection and camera alignment.
• Manage wireless infrastructure (Cambium AP & SM), RF alignment, DCDU cabinets, battery systems and DC industrial switches.
• Coordinate networking hardware deployment – servers, switches, racks, UPS, LAN and fiber connectivity – and implement VLAN and multicast configurations.
• Lead video‑wall and control‑room integration (VuWall) and live migration from legacy Matrox Mura platform.
• Supervise Genetec VMS upgrade, analytics, failover, PTZ auto‑tracking and overall system testing and commissioning.
• Monitor project schedule, prepare progress reports, conduct QA/QC inspections and approve subcontractor progress claims.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in CCTV and integrated security systems.
• Proven experience supervising large‑scale infrastructure projects and coordinating multiple technical disciplines.
