Programme Manager – Humanitarian Programme (IFSAN)

About the role

The Programme Manager (IFSAN) will lead a complex humanitarian programme addressing severe food insecurity, acute malnutrition and health challenges in North Kordofan and Central Darfur. Reporting to the Director of Program Operations, the role oversees a €2 million budget and coordinates activities delivered directly by Save the Children and through the international partner ACF.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strategic relationships with national and state health and nutrition authorities, humanitarian actors, community leaders and research institutions.
• Represent Save the Children in Nutrition Cluster, health and food security coordination mechanisms.
• Manage the partnership with ACF, ensuring alignment of technical, operational and financial plans.
• Oversee programme performance, budget execution, procurement planning and donor compliance across both locations.
• Coordinate regular information flow between North Kordofan and Central Darfur teams, country‑office departments and senior management.
• Travel frequently to Central Darfur to monitor implementation, support partners, address bottlenecks and ensure consistent delivery of programme models.
• Prepare briefing materials, updates and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale humanitarian programmes in conflict‑affected settings.
• Strong knowledge of health, nutrition and food security sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to work with international partners and government agencies.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to remote field locations.
