Partnerships Specialist

About the role

The Partnerships Specialist will develop and implement partnership and programme development plans for UNOPS Sudan, building effective relationships with governments, UN agencies, donors and other stakeholders to mobilise resources, expand the office’s portfolio and strengthen UNOPS’s positioning as a reliable development partner.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership and programme development plan aligned with UNOPS strategic and regional priorities.
• Analyse the country context and development landscape to identify key partners and operational niches.
• Coordinate with global, national and liaison Partnerships personnel, project managers and project teams to ensure coherent partner engagement.
• Monitor humanitarian and development trends, research opportunities and advise HQ and the Regional Office on framework partnership agreements.
• Assess risks and opportunities related to strategic positioning and recommend measures for sustainable growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership development within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of UNOPS strategic objectives and regional development priorities.
• Ability to analyse complex country and sector data to identify partnership opportunities.
• Excellent coordination skills to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
