National Consultant – Complex Risk Analytics Fund (CRAF’d) Project

About the role

UN Women is seeking a National Consultant to provide technical and programmatic implementation support for the Complex Risk Analytics Fund (CRAF’d) Project in Sudan. The consultant will work under the supervision of the Project Coordinator to ensure timely production of high‑quality gender‑focused data and analysis that inform humanitarian response and peace‑building efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Support the contextualisation and application of the GSCA methodology and related data‑collection tools to the Sudanese context.
• Conduct and support national‑level data collection, including key informant interviews, focus group discussions, literature reviews and stakeholder consultations, ensuring inclusion of diverse and marginalized groups.
• Provide Sudan‑specific contextual analysis on gendered impacts of the conflict, power relations, inequalities and gender norms.
• Support stakeholder and actor mapping, particularly of women‑lead organisations and relevant national actors involved in gender data production and use.
• Assist in planning and delivering validation and capacity‑building workshops, including facilitation support and documentation.
• Contribute substantive inputs to Gender Alerts, snapshots and the final Gender‑Sensitive Conflict Analysis, including findings, recommendations and review of draft outputs.

Required profile

• National consultant with experience in gender data collection, analysis and reporting in humanitarian or conflict‑affected settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with UN Women staff, international consultants and local partners.
• Familiarity with Sudan’s socio‑political context and gender‑related challenges.
