HR and Admin Officer

About the role

The Human Resources and Administration Officer will support the implementation of all HR and administration functions for the Central Darfur area office of the Danish Refugee Council. This role ensures timely recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, and staff administration in a challenging humanitarian environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support national staff recruitment, briefing hiring managers and preparing interview tools.
• Conduct induction, orientation, Code of Conduct, and PSEA training for new staff.
• Maintain up‑to‑date staff records in Microsoft Dynamics.
• Collect and file HR documents, leave records, and interview records promptly.
• Prepare and submit monthly payroll and payroll reconciliation with accurate data.
• Launch and monitor the PADA process, provide training, and support performance reviews.
• Register new hires in the national staff payroll system and manage contracts.
• Assist staff with social security forms and act as health‑insurance focal point, updating databases and submitting monthly changes.
• Manage and track utilities payments for the office.
• Provide additional administrative support as assigned by the line manager.
