GBV Team Leader – Case Management & PSS

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is looking for an experienced GBV Team Leader to oversee the delivery of integrated Gender‑Based Violence (GBV) case management and Psychosocial Support (PSS) services across Sudan. The role provides technical supervision, ensures survivor‑centred care, and supports strategic implementation of GBV prevention and response activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise GBV case management and PSS activities, including coaching, mentoring and shadowing of staff.
• Conduct regular case file audits and survivor‑centred capacity assessments.
• Carry out periodic MHPSS capacity assessments and develop capacity‑building plans for GBV and PSS personnel.
• Oversee data collection and ensure compliance with GBV data protection protocols.
• Manage WGSS, supervise facilitators and community volunteers.
• Coordinate provision of dignity kits and conduct GBV risk assessments and safety audits.
• Promote GBV mainstreaming across non‑protection sectors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in GBV case management and psychosocial support within humanitarian contexts.
• Strong coordination, leadership and strategic guidance abilities.
• Ability to supervise, mentor and build capacity of multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of data protection standards for sensitive case information.
• Commitment to survivor‑centred, gender‑sensitive approaches.
