Commercial Executive – Sales & Marketing Management

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, sea and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring a Commercial Executive in Port Sudan. The role manages the Commercial Department, handling quotation requests, securing new projects and keeping commercial and marketing strategies consistent. It is a full-time position under a fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Quotation management: answer quotation requests quickly and accurately, supervise daily pricing activity and respond to standard and abnormal requests (heavy lifts, projects) with the Operations Director
• Develop commercial action plans with management and department heads
• Acquire new clients and traffic, build and maintain a client network
• Develop, maintain and update pricing matrices and ensure pricing officers can quote all services
• Develop and maintain a marketing policy and strategy, and help create marketing tools
• Run a tender desk, coordinate tender responses, due diligence and vendor registration (except O&G, mining and industrial projects)
• Prepare SOPs for the Commercial Department with QHSE
• Maintain relationships with existing clients, visit corporate and project clients locally and/or overseas, and conduct market analysis
• Develop sales forecasts, prepare regular reports and coordinate monthly reporting to regional and HQ offices
• Monitor and improve commercial processes

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years in a Commercial Executive or Deputy role
• Experience in clearing and forwarding, logistics or supply chain preferred
• Proven track record in client acquisition, pricing strategy and tender management
