Cleaner for Guest House & Office

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain the Guest House and office facilities. You will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, guests, and beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors in guest rooms, common areas, and office spaces.
• Clean toilets and restrooms twice daily using appropriate detergents.
• Dust furniture, remove cobwebs, and clean ceilings.
• Wash dishes, empty trash bins, and keep kitchen areas stocked with water.
• Prepare hot water for tea/coffee and ensure continuous availability of drinking water.
• Secure premises by closing doors, windows, and turning on exterior lights when vacant.
• Perform periodic tasks such as deep‑cleaning curtains, windows, and furniture.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to the line manager promptly.

Required profile

• Basic literacy (ability to read and write).
• 1–2 years of relevant cleaning experience.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and commitment.
• Good understanding of hygiene, health, and safety standards.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
