Business Development Manager

About the role

Rapid Response Services International is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its Port Sudan office. The role focuses on expanding the company’s footprint in humanitarian and development markets across Africa by building strategic partnerships and securing new business.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
• Develop and nurture partnerships with NGOs, institutional donors, and local stakeholders.
• Conduct market research and opportunity assessments to inform strategy.
• Prepare and submit proposals, bids, and tenders aligned with client needs.
• Manage client relationships and coordinate with internal teams to ensure service delivery.
• Track performance metrics, support contract negotiations, and contribute to strategic planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, client relationship management, and stakeholder engagement within humanitarian, development, or logistics sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct market research, develop proposals, and manage bids/tenders.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation capabilities.
• Experience working in high‑risk or complex environments, preferably in conflict‑affected or humanitarian settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Logistics, or a related field.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Comfort working in multicultural teams and collaborating across functions.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or other regional languages are a plus.
• Prior experience in Africa and familiarity with NGO operations and donor frameworks is highly beneficial.
