Consortium MEAL Coordinator

About the role

The Consortium MEAL Coordinator will lead and strengthen Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems for an FCDO‑funded gender‑based violence (GBV) consortium. Reporting to the programme team, the coordinator will ensure high‑quality data collection, analysis and evidence generation to improve programme performance and meet donor and DRC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead MEAL integration across the project cycle, ensuring compliance with DRC guidelines and FCDO requirements.
• Provide technical advice to consortium partners on indicator development, logical frameworks and data collection methodologies.
• Oversee needs assessments, baseline studies and external evaluations, including field data collection, processing and quality assurance.
• Develop MEAL plans, indicator tracking tools and data management systems in close collaboration with programme teams.
• Support the preparation of donor reports, ensuring timely updates of monitoring and evaluation findings.
• Coordinate data protection, storage and security protocols in line with DRC and donor standards.
• Guide the analysis, visualisation and reporting of MEAL data to inform internal decision‑making and external communication.
• Facilitate cross‑partner learning through kick‑off, progress review and close‑out meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading MEAL activities within humanitarian or development programmes.
• Familiarity with FCDO donor reporting requirements and DRC MEAL guidelines.
• Ability to provide technical support and capacity‑building to partners and downstream organisations.
• Strong understanding of ethical principles and protection standards in data collection.
