Korean <> English Translator - Animal Biochemistry

About the role

Editage, the flagship brand of CACTUS, is seeking freelance translators to help researchers publish scientific manuscripts in English-language journals. The focus of this assignment is on translating content related to animal biochemistry between Korean and English.

Key responsibilities

• Translate academic research papers from Korean to English or vice‑versa while preserving scientific accuracy.
• Ensure terminology and style conform to the standards of high‑impact scientific journals.
• Collaborate with authors to clarify ambiguous passages and maintain the integrity of the original research.
• Deliver completed translations within agreed timelines.

Required profile

• A degree in Translation or a comparable qualification with substantial translation training, OR a graduate degree in any field plus at least two years of professional translation experience, OR five years of comprehensive translation experience.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in animal biochemistry or related life‑science disciplines.
• Previous experience working in a foreign‑language research environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Fluent proficiency in Korean and English.
• Professional academic translation ability.
• Strong knowledge of scientific terminology in animal biochemistry.
