HR & Admin Team Leader – Geneina, Sudan (Nationals Only)

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a qualified HR and Admin Team Leader to oversee its staff in West and Central Darfur, based in Geneina. This position is open to Sudanese nationals and focuses on delivering high‑quality HR services, ensuring compliance with NRC policies, and supporting staff performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide line management for directly reporting staff, including performance management and goal setting.
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and staff development for national staff in West and Central Darfur.
• Ensure compliance with NRC policies, handbooks, national laws, and HR function standards.
• Maintain and update NRC People and recruitment tools, manage data protection, and oversee leave tracking and attendance systems.
• Prepare and verify payroll on schedule and support fact‑finding and disciplinary processes.
• Promote PSEA standards, advocate for internally displaced persons/returnees, and provide technical HR support and capacity building.

Required profile

• Sudanese national with proven experience in HR management, recruitment, and staff administration.
• Strong knowledge of NRC HR policies, humanitarian standards, and national labor regulations.
• Ability to advise line managers, conduct inductions, and manage performance processes.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to data accuracy and protection.
