Fraud Management Specialist

About the role

Zain Sudan, in its Finance division (Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management), is hiring a Fraud Management Specialist who reports to the Fraud Management Team Leader. The role operates and maintains fraud management tools and systems to prevent, detect and advise on corrective measures against fraud, using data analysis to find misuse and violations.

Key responsibilities

• Detect technical fraud, subscription or payment fraud and other fraud affecting Zain's business using the Fraud Management systems.
• Operate and maintain the systems and tools, including business rules administration and backups, and investigate detected issues until resolved.
• Follow Fraud Management procedures and prepare, extract and analyse monthly, quarterly and periodic reports for management.
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly analytical tools used to capture fraud and ensure they run smoothly.
• Help understand and mitigate losses, and keep fraud data secure and backed up per company policy.
• Keep improving knowledge of fraud techniques and work with Finance, Technology, Commercial and other teams, including on SIMBox cooperation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer engineering/science, telecom, finance, accounting or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Professional Fraud Management certification such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ICT systems: big data, SQL databases, shell scripts (Unix), billing and charging.
• Practical experience of fraud observation and investigation techniques and tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication in Arabic and English, planning, project management and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Use of IT packages such as Excel, Access and Word.
