Finance Management Mission (2 months, N'Djamena)

About the role

Solidarités International (SI) is offering a 2-month salaried mission in N'Djamena to provide short-term technical support to the Finance Department of its Sudan mission, which handles the largest financial volume and number of grants (about €27-29 million in 2026). The aim is to strengthen financial management, improve the shared cost model, boost team effectiveness and reinforce financial forecasting and cross-departmental collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up the implementation of the shared cost model, ensuring proper application and training the finance team on its use.
• Work with the Finance Coordinator to review the team setup and tasks, taking into account the planned 2027 structure, and help the team keep grant finances well documented and forecasted.
• Support roll-out of training and capacity building on shared costs so that forecasting can be restored at country and base level.
• Collaborate with other departments and field teams to strengthen processes and coordination.

Required profile

• BAC+5 degree in administration or finance.
• 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector and 3-4 years in a similar position.
• Fluent English; Arabic and French are an advantage.

Required skills

• Budget management and knowledge of donor guidelines.
• Knowledge of SAGA.
• Experience with SI finance tools such as shared cost, BOUSSOLE, AB and proposals.
• Team management and capacity building.

What we offer

• Starting from EUR 2,860 gross per month (2,600 base salary plus 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a daily allowance of USD 750.
• Accommodation covered and travel expenses from home to the mission.
• Alternating work and rest periods (7 working days every three months, with a USD 850 break allowance) and one extra rest day per month worked.
• Insurance package covering healthcare, repatriation and war risks, plus vaccination and antimalarial treatment.
• Living in a shared apartment in N'Djamena with 24/7 electricity and internet; visits to bases in Darfur may be expected.
