Field Coordinator - East Darfur (6-month mission)

About the role

Solidarités International (SI) is looking for a Field Coordinator for a 6-month fixed-term mission in East Darfur, Sudan, starting 1 December 2026. The post is based in Ed Daein, where SI has a new base, and covers the East Darfur and West Kordofan area. The coordinator oversees SI's presence and response in line with the Country Strategy, acts as the SI representative to aid workers, authorities, civil society and the media, and ensures the security of teams and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the development of SI's presence and response in the area, delegated by the Country Director
• Represent SI to aid workers, local administrative, military and political authorities, civil society and the media
• Ensure the security of SI teams and assets and compliance with the organisation's ethical framework
• Implement new activities in West Kordofan and set up the teams
• Support the access strategy and carry out security analysis

Required profile

• Masters degree in a related field (humanitarian response, international cooperation, development studies, political sciences)
• 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage, French is an asset

What we offer

• Fixed-term salary from EUR 3,080 gross per month (2,800 base salary plus 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a daily allowance of USD 750
• Coverage of accommodation costs and travel to the assignment
• Alternating work and rest periods (7 working days every three months) with a USD 850 break allowance, plus one extra rest day per month worked
• Insurance package covering healthcare, repatriation and war risks, with vaccination and antimalarial costs refunded
• Accommodation in guesthouses with solar panels, internet and running water
