Operations Officer

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Operations Officer on a temporary appointment to support financial and operational processes at its Khartoum office. Reporting to the Finance Specialist and Deputy Representative Operations, the officer will ensure VISION transactions are processed accurately and in line with SOPs, contributing to efficient field activity financing.

Key responsibilities

• Process and monitor VISION (SAP) transactions, including EZHACT, reimbursements, direct payments, fund commitments, sales orders, purchase requisitions and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with UNICEF policies, SOPs and the Table of Authority/Release strategy.
• Support the implementation of HACT financial procedures for field operations.
• Collaborate with VISION‑Hub associates and other sections to maintain transaction benchmarks.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of SOPs, KPIs and workflow documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in financial operations, preferably within an international organization or UN agency.
• Strong understanding of procurement and payment processes.
• Ability to work under supervision of senior finance staff and coordinate with multiple units.

Required skills

• Proficiency with VISION (SAP) financial system.
• Knowledge of HACT and UNICEF financial procedures.
