Logistics & Administration Officer – Temporary Cover

About the role

Trócaire is seeking a Logistics and Administration Officer on a temporary cover basis to support its field office in Kauda, Sudan. The officer will work closely with the Area Manager to ensure smooth operation of logistics, fleet, procurement and day‑to‑day administration while complying with local regulations and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate local supply‑chain deliveries, manage purchase orders, maintain inventory of stock, vehicle and motorbike spare parts, and handle fuel cards and monthly fuel reporting.
• Provide office administration and HR support including facilities management, staff travel logistics, recruitment documentation, onboarding, and liaison with the Nairobi HR team.
• Oversee fleet and transport management: schedule vehicle maintenance, conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, manage driver and mechanic coordination, and prepare accident or incident reports.
• Maintain communication with local government agencies, share policy updates, and act as the main point of contact for partners on logistics and procurement matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in logistics, administration or office management, preferably in an NGO or field‑based setting.
• Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent relevant experience.
• Demonstrated integrity in handling cash and assets, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and strong interpersonal skills for liaising with officials and communities.

Required skills

• Valid driving licence.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Working knowledge of vehicle and fuel management processes.
