Legal Data Analyst – Remote

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret legal and regulatory data to support decision‑making, compliance oversight, and risk management. Working remotely, you will bridge legal expertise with data analytics to turn contracts, case records, and policy documents into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex legal datasets (litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms) to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Translate findings into insights for legal strategy, compliance and business decisions.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data, craft prompts for large language models, and evaluate model outputs.
• Support regulatory compliance by analyzing emerging requirements and mapping them to processes.
• Design interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
• Lead automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Optimize deployment of legal technology tools, including AI‑driven solutions.
• Assist with data governance practices such as classification, retention and quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines.
• Experience in litigation analytics, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC), contract analytics, IP or privacy law.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data analysis.
• BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
