Country Technical Senior Specialist – Food Security (Sudan)

About the role

The Country Technical Senior Specialist – Food Security will support the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) mission in Sudan, delivering timely, accurate, evidence‑based early warning information and analysis on food insecurity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide early warning analysis and reporting on acute food insecurity in Sudan.
• Collaborate with FEWS NET partners including NASA, NOAA, USDA, USGS, UCSB‑CHC, University of Maryland, AIR and Chemonics.
• Implement activities of the Decision Support Team (DST) as part of Chemonics’ implementation of FEWS NET.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in food security analysis and early warning systems.
• Ability to work in a multi‑partner, international environment.
