Workshop Manager

About the role

The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing preventive maintenance and ensuring that repairs on ICRC vehicles and logistics equipment are performed according to headquarters guidelines and manufacturers' recommendations. The role supports the Vehicle Fleet Manager in maximizing fleet efficiency while maintaining a safe and compliant workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities in coordination with the Vehicle Fleet Manager.
• Provide technical training to fleet staff on diagnostics, repairs, maintenance techniques, and use of electronic equipment.
• Assist mechanics with complex vehicle and generator diagnostics and propose solutions.
• Manage all workshop maintenance and repair work, including material usage and documentation.
• Operate and maintain the Fleetwave Centralize (FWC) software, electronic log books, and spare‑parts catalogue.
• Monitor fuel consumption, maintain stock levels for spare parts, and support ordering processes.
• Generate maintenance reports, job cards, and statistical data for fleet performance.
• Apply logistics risk controls as defined in the Logistics Risk and Control Matrix.

• Strong motivation to work in a humanitarian context.
• Ability to work under pressure in potentially dangerous environments.
