Risk and Compliance Coordinator

About the role

The Risk and Compliance Coordinator supports the Risk and Compliance Manager in developing and executing a risk‑based compliance and assurance programme across finance, procurement, HR, awards and supply‑chain functions. The role involves field visits, audits, investigations and partner capacity‑building activities to ensure robust internal controls and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and implementing the annual risk‑based compliance and assurance work plan.
• Conduct reviews of finance, procurement, HR, awards and supply‑chain processes, including surprise stock and cash counts.
• Visit field offices to assess risk mitigation, operational practices and update risk registers.
• Perform pre‑audits, ad‑hoc procurement and asset reviews, and develop compliance reports.
• Support investigations into fraud, bribery, corruption and misconduct, liaising with regional fraud units.
• Participate in partner assessments using the Partner Assessment Tool and deliver compliance reviews.
• Provide fraud‑awareness training to staff, partners and suppliers.

Required profile

• Under supervision of the Risk and Compliance Manager, with ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Experience in compliance, audit, risk management or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to field offices and conduct on‑site assessments.
• Good communication skills for reporting findings and delivering training.
