Risk Analyst (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Risk Analyst to join our global team. You will identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks that could affect our performance. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform data to detect emerging risks such as payment fraud, account takeovers, spam, phishing, and synthetic identity networks.
• Query large datasets using SQL, Python, or other analytics tools to uncover attack vectors and quantify abusive behavior.
• Design and implement rules, models, and workflows that prevent fraudulent activity while preserving user experience.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Legal teams to embed risk controls throughout the product lifecycle.
• Act as a primary responder during high‑impact risk events, making rapid decisions to contain losses.
• Build dashboards and reports to track key risk indicators and communicate findings to leadership.
• Provide feedback on internal risk tools and collaborate on automation of manual reviews.
• Evaluate and integrate third‑party risk intelligence vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud intelligence, trust & safety analytics, or financial crime investigations within tech, e‑commerce, or fintech.
• Strong ability to translate raw data into actionable insights and present technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of common attack vectors (chargeback fraud, promo abuse, botnets, deepfakes) and mitigation strategies.
• Familiarity with global compliance frameworks such as AML, KYC, GDPR, or PSD2.
• Proactive curiosity and capacity to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
