Project Coordination and Advocacy Consultant

About the role

This consultancy supports a global humanitarian project by coordinating stakeholder engagement, building advocacy coalitions, and monitoring emerging issues. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and is initially contracted for one year, with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder engagement with humanitarian actors, civil society, media, and climate and peace actors at national and sub‑national levels.
• Support the formation and ongoing work of a project advisory group.
• Map local data, expertise, and initiatives; build a coalition of civil‑society and data experts; facilitate dialogue sessions.
• Track socio‑political, humanitarian, and environmental developments; produce regular risk and opportunity reports.
• Coordinate field visits, research activities, and community consultations.
• Develop and roll out structured advocacy and communication strategies, including multimedia content.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project coordination, stakeholder management, or advocacy within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to conduct background research and produce analytical reports.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
• Willingness to work from Sudan or remotely while maintaining regular contact with local partners.
