About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Photography & Videography Consultant to support its Sudan Mission. The consultant will create and manage audiovisual content that highlights IOM’s work, ensuring high‑quality visual storytelling for internal and external audiences.
Key responsibilities
- Produce, edit, and archive photography and video material for projects, events, and campaigns.
- Conduct independent field visits to capture raw audio‑visual assets, human‑interest stories, and photo essays.
- Manage post‑production processes, including video editing, photo retouching, and digital optimisation for social‑media platforms.
- Develop visual assets such as infographics, posters, and social‑media graphics in coordination with the Communications Unit.
- Support event coverage and create short‑form video content (e.g., reels, mini‑documentaries).
Required profile
- University degree in Multimedia, Film/Video Production, Audio‑Visual Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, OR high‑school diploma with at least 4 years of experience.
- Proven hands‑on experience as a photographer/videographer with a strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end video editing and photo post‑processing.
- Experience gathering visual material in humanitarian or development settings.
- Ability to operate DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, audio gear, lighting kits, and stabiliser rigs under field conditions.
- Graphic‑design experience and ability to create infographics and social‑media assets is a strong advantage.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in non‑linear video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects).
- Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for photo retouching and graphic design.
- Operation of DSLR and mirrorless cameras, audio recording equipment, lighting equipment, and stabiliser rigs.
- Content optimisation for social‑media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter).
