About the role
Rapid Response Services International (RRS) is seeking a full‑time Freight Forwarder to join its logistics team in Port Sudan (with responsibilities also covering Khartoum). The role is hybrid, allowing some work‑from‑home flexibility, and focuses on coordinating the movement of humanitarian supplies from origin to destination in high‑risk environments.
Key responsibilities
- Arrange transport, prepare export documentation, and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Liaise with carriers, customs agents, and NGO customers to resolve operational issues.
- Track freight status, update customers on progress, and maintain accurate records in internal systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise routes, manage costs, and support delivery in complex, high‑risk contexts.
Required profile
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in dynamic environments.
- Good written and spoken English; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
- Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field preferred.
Required skills
- Experience with standard office software.
- Proficiency in logistics software for shipment tracking and documentation.
