About the role

We are seeking an Epidemiologist to lead research projects focused on public health and malaria control. The role will support young professionals in designing studies, publishing findings, and advancing knowledge in disease epidemiology.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify relevant research topics and formulate concept notes.
  • Develop detailed research proposals and secure necessary approvals.
  • Conduct field and laboratory research, collect and manage data.
  • Analyze data using appropriate statistical methods.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and draft manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals.

Required profile

  • Associate professor or equivalent academic rank at a recognized university, preferably with experience at the University of Khartoum.
  • Extensive background in public health, epidemiology, and malaria control programmes.
  • Proven track record of conducting research and publishing scientific articles.

Required skills

  • Research design and methodology.
  • Data analysis and interpretation.
  • Scientific writing and manuscript preparation.
