Amharic Language Specialist – Remote (up to $95/hr)

About the role

We are seeking an Amharic Language Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis, supporting translation, localization, and audio production for multilingual content and AI training datasets. The role offers flexible hours ranging from 10 to 40 per week and compensation up to $95 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, localize, and adapt written content between Amharic and English.
• Edit and proofread materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Perform dubbing and voice‑over recordings for multimedia and AI training datasets.
• Process and engineer audio recordings using audio‑engineering tools to deliver high‑quality output.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support AI model training and language development.
• Annotate, evaluate, and refine language data for machine‑learning applications.
• Provide linguistic insights to improve workflows and language accuracy.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Amharic with strong English skills.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, and localization.
• Solid background in linguistics or language analysis.
• Experience with audio engineering, dubbing, and voice‑over work.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.
