Supply Chain Assistant

About the role

The Supply Chain Assistant will support the Supply Chain department of the DRC Gedaref office, ensuring efficient logistics and procurement operations in line with DRC’s internal and donor procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Track all procurement orders from planning to receipt.
• Prepare procurement documents, evaluate bids, and compile evaluation reports.
• Jointly verify goods and equipment with programme staff for compliance with specifications.
• Collect quotes, create requisitions and bid matrices, and support market assessments.
• Communicate with vendors, warehousing, and programme staff to monitor procurement progress.
• Ensure compliance with DRC procurement principles, donor regulations, and local statutory requirements.
• Apply ERP supply chain processes correctly.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, warehouse, asset, or fleet management within a humanitarian or NGO setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme and logistics teams.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ERP supply chain processes.
• Familiarity with procurement procedures and bid evaluation.
