Software Engineer Annotator – Remote

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer Annotator to evaluate, label, and improve software engineering datasets used for training AI and large language models. The role combines strong programming expertise with meticulous data annotation to ensure high‑quality code examples for AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Annotate and review software engineering datasets intended for AI training.
• Assess AI‑generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and security.
• Label datasets covering code completion, debugging, refactoring, and optimization tasks.
• Provide structured feedback to enhance model performance.
• Maintain adherence to annotation guidelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with AI trainers, reviewers, and data teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
• 3–5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Prior experience in data annotation, AI training, or code review.
• Strong programming background in Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or Go.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, APIs, backend systems, and web technologies.
• Basic knowledge of AI, machine learning, or large language models is a plus.
