Senior IT Officer – Khartoum

About the role

The Salam Centre for Cardiac Surgery in Khartoum is seeking a Senior IT Officer to lead and maintain its IT infrastructure across multiple sites. Reporting to the IT Deputy Manager and the IT F.O. Desk Operation Manager, you will ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve physical servers, hypervisors, and Windows Server environments (including Active Directory).
• Administer Linux systems (Debian and RHEL) and manage networking components such as L2 switches, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Oversee Wi‑Fi security solutions, including Fortinet firewalls and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools.
• Implement backup and disaster‑recovery processes using Veeam.
• Deploy and manage monitoring (Zabbix) and ticketing (OS Ticket) applications.
• Provide second‑ and third‑level help‑desk support and supervise daily IT operations.
• Document systems and applications, train junior staff, and ensure inventory and ticketing queues are up to date.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Experience in managing IT infrastructure in a multi‑site environment.
• Residency in Sudan.
