Programme Coordinator (Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM))

About the role

The Programme Coordinator will lead the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) programme in Sudan, overseeing the implementation of DTM activities across the country. This position reports to the Chief of Mission and works closely with the Head of Programmes and the Regional DTM Coordinator in Cairo.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise DTM data collection, registration of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and population movement monitoring.
• Conduct assessment missions, site monitoring and village assessments to ensure accurate and timely data.
• Analyse and report DTM findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Regional DTM Coordinator and other IOM units to align programme activities with strategic objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building support to field teams and partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Social Sciences, Information Management or a related field.
• Relevant experience in humanitarian programmes, displacement tracking or population monitoring.
• Strong understanding of DTM methodology and data management principles.
• Ability to work in a challenging environment and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams.
