Head of Locally Led Delivery and Partnerships

About the role

The Head of Locally Led Delivery and Partnerships will lead Save the Children Sudan’s localisation agenda, ensuring that programme delivery shifts toward equitable, locally‑led models. Reporting to the Deputy Country Director – Programme & Operations, the role works closely with senior managers across programmes, finance, MEAL, supply, and safety to embed partnership principles throughout the country office.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Country Office Localization Strategy in line with Save the Children’s Global Partnership Framework, Grand Bargain and CHS commitments.
• Oversee a large, diverse partnership portfolio, ensuring compliance, quality and results‑driven delivery at scale.
• Develop and maintain robust partnership systems, processes and tools, integrating them across programmes, operations and support functions.
• Strengthen the capacity of national and local actors through structured capacity‑sharing approaches.
• Lead monitoring, accountability and learning mechanisms to improve partnership effectiveness.
• Coordinate self‑assessments on partnerships and localisation, driving action plans and reporting to senior management.
• Represent Save the Children Sudan in external forums on partnerships and localisation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in partnership management, localisation or programme delivery within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Proven senior leadership skills with ability to influence cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Deep understanding of Grand Bargain, CHS standards and localisation principles.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with experience in monitoring and learning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
