Finance Technical Assistant

About the role

The Finance Technical Assistant provides efficient and compliant financial support services for NRC Sudan, ensuring accurate processing of cash and bank transactions, maintenance of cash and bank records, and adherence to NRC financial policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash and bank payments in line with NRC policies and procedures.
• Manage petty cash and safe‑box, ensuring all transactions are fully documented.
• Prepare and execute bank transfers for suppliers, beneficiaries, staff claims and other operational expenses.
• Record payments, advances, staff clearances and other financial transactions in NRC financial systems (Citrix/Unit4).
• Maintain up‑to‑date cash and bank balance trackers and produce regular reports for management.
• Support month‑end closing activities, document filing and audit preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in finance, accounting, cash management or a similar function.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
