E-Services & Applications Development Specialist

About the role

Zain Sudan's Technology division is looking for an E-Services & Applications Development Specialist to lead the design, development and delivery of digital solutions such as mobile applications, self-service portals and e-channels. The role reports to the E-Services & Applications Development Team Leader and focuses on seamless integration with backend systems and user-centric software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain mobile apps (iOS, Android, Windows), self-service portals and e-channels (SMS, USSD) using Flutter, React Native, Swift, Kotlin and Java.
• Integrate mobile apps with backend systems via APIs, microservices and platforms such as MuleSoft and Spring Boot.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work with Convergence Billing and Charging teams on hybrid services using OCS, JMS, REST and SOAP.
• Lead mobile money, payment gateway and digital wallet solutions, complying with PCI DSS and using Stripe, PayPal and Apple Pay.
• Manage release planning, deployment and CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions and CircleCI, and supervise integrations via MuleSoft, Apache Camel or WSO2.
• Maintain technical documentation, forecast demand, manage resources and track progress in Jira and Confluence.
• Lead outsourced development, mentor team members, run QA testing and ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA and PCI DSS.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience designing APIs (SOAP, REST, GraphQL) and deploying end-user systems such as mobile money and payment gateways.
• Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban) and object-oriented languages such as Java, Python and C++.
• Knowledge of RDBMS, Linux and Windows, and web languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
• Arabic and English, with strong communication, reporting and presentation skills.
