Data Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

The Data Quality Assurance Officer ensures that project data collected across Sudan is accurate, complete, consistent and reliable. Working from the Khartoum office, the officer collaborates with field teams, technical experts and the Data Analysis Unit to support evidence‑based decision‑making and donor reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily data submissions for completeness, accuracy and logical consistency.
• Conduct routine data quality audits, validation checks and resolve identified issues.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly data quality reports with actionable recommendations.
• Support data cleaning, validation, consolidation and quality‑control processes.
• Maintain data quality logs, monitor trends and assist in preparing analytical reports and dashboards.
• Coordinate with operations, technical teams and field coordinators to address data‑related problems and monitor corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to field teams on data quality standards.
• Develop simple guidance materials and job aids to improve field data collection.
• Recommend improvements to digital data collection tools and automate quality‑check workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data quality assurance, monitoring or related data management roles.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in humanitarian or development contexts.
