Computer Vision Annotator (Remote)

About the role

The Computer Vision Annotator will label and annotate image and video data to create high‑quality datasets for machine‑learning models. Working remotely, you will support projects ranging from object detection to 3D perception for autonomous systems.

Key responsibilities

• Draw precise bounding boxes, polygons, polylines, key points, and 3D cuboids on visual data.
• Perform semantic and instance segmentation to label every pixel.
• Annotate point‑cloud and LiDAR data for spatial‑awareness applications.
• Interpret complex labeling taxonomies and refine guidelines with data scientists.
• Use advanced features of CVAT, Label Studio, 3D Slicer, or Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth.
• Identify ambiguous cases, edge cases, and potential dataset biases.
• Provide feedback to improve annotation tools and workflow efficiency.
• Assist with basic data preparation such as resizing images and synchronising timestamps.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in computer‑vision data annotation or quality assurance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to follow detailed taxonomies and maintain consistency across large datasets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with annotation tools: CVAT, Label Studio, 3D Slicer, Supervisely, Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth.
• Experience with annotation techniques: bounding boxes, polygons, key points, 3D cuboids, segmentation masks.
• Understanding of computer‑vision concepts: object detection, image classification, LiDAR, point clouds.
• Familiarity with quality‑control processes such as consensus labeling and inter‑annotator agreement metrics.
