Communications Consultant – Proximate Fund Sudan

About the role

Adeso is seeking a Communications Consultant to support the Proximate Fund Sudan initiative. The consultant will develop community‑centered communication products that amplify grassroots voices and promote a decolonized, community‑driven narrative.

Key responsibilities

• Produce storytelling‑focused content that captures the perspectives of local communities.
• Develop communication materials (e.g., briefs, articles, multimedia pieces) aligned with the Proximate Fund’s objectives.
• Collaborate closely with the Adeso Communications Team and the Proximate Fund Sudan management.
• Ensure all outputs reflect a decolonized, community‑led narrative approach.
• Support the dissemination of communication products across relevant channels.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communications, storytelling, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work with grassroots organizations and civil‑society actors.
• Familiarity with humanitarian or development contexts, especially in Africa.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality content within a three‑month timeframe.
