Communications Analyst

About the role

The Communications Analyst will design and implement UNDP Sudan’s Strategic Communications Plan. Reporting to the Resident Representative, the role aims to raise the visibility of UNDP’s recovery and development work, attract political and financial support, and ensure effective communication with donors, partners, and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily activities of the Communications Team, fostering a collaborative and results‑driven environment.
• Develop, execute, and monitor a results‑based communications strategy aligned with UNDP’s objectives in Sudan.
• Coordinate with programme, operations, UN agencies, government officials, donors, and civil‑society partners to ensure consistent messaging.
• Oversee media relations, public outreach, and content production to highlight UNDP’s impact.
• Provide strategic advice to senior management on communications issues and opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic communications, preferably in post‑conflict or development settings.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including UN bodies, donors, and government entities.
