Camp Coordination and Camp Management Manager

About the role

The Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) Manager will lead the implementation of CCCM and shelter projects in Darfur, ensuring effective site management, community engagement and capacity building across DRC operations and partner organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate sector‑specific needs assessments, develop strategic and contingency plans aligned with the Site Management and Shelter Cluster strategy.
• Design and promote a Site Management Area‑Based Approach (SM‑ABAC) within state‑level coordination mechanisms.
• Strengthen the capacity of local authorities, community committees and DRC staff through mentoring, training delivery and development of training materials.
• Review and redesign complaints‑feedback mechanisms, including mobile CFM, to enhance accountability to affected populations.
• Supervise implementation of site management activities, ensuring quality control, monitoring of objectives and indicators.
• Collaborate with the Shelter Cluster to develop and implement mechanisms for increased accountability and awareness‑raising.

Required profile

• Proven experience in camp coordination, site management or shelter project implementation in humanitarian settings.
• Strong knowledge of CCCM principles, cluster coordination and area‑based approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to engage communities, local authorities and NGOs effectively.
• Experience designing tools, SOPs and delivering capacity‑building trainings.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills to produce strategic plans and assessments.
