Program Manager, Food & Cash Assistance

About the role

The Programme Manager will lead the establishment and operationalisation of the White Nile State Office and oversee the integrated Food and Cash Assistance programme in White Nile and South Kordofan states. Reporting to World Vision International and working closely with the World Food Programme, the role ensures that assistance reaches up to 500,000 vulnerable participants.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Food and Cash Assistance programme, ensuring compliance with WFP and World Vision standards.
• Plan, implement and monitor cash, food and nutrition activities to achieve programme objectives.
• Set up and manage the new White Nile State office, including recruitment and capacity building of staff.
• Oversee commodities management – receipt, storage, dispatch, distribution and documentation – in line with organisational regulations.
• Produce accurate commodities and financial reports for WFP and World Vision International.
• Identify technical gaps within the Food Assistance team and organise targeted training.
• Coordinate development of project proposals, concept notes and funding agreements with WFP and other donors.
• Facilitate signing of MOUs and Field Level Agreements with partners and government ministries.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale food and cash assistance programmes in humanitarian settings.
• Strong ability to coordinate with UN agencies, government ministries and multiple partners.
• Experience establishing new field offices and building team capacity.
• Knowledge of WFP and World Vision International policies, standards and reporting requirements.
