Senior Health and Nutrition Manager

About the role

The Senior Health and Nutrition Manager will be based in Tawila, North Darfur, leading IRC's health and nutrition response in a high‑need humanitarian context. Reporting to the Emergency Health Coordinator and the Field Coordinator, the incumbent will ensure effective planning, implementation and monitoring of programmes that address acute malnutrition and outbreak risks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of health and nutrition interventions across North Darfur.
• Coordinate with field teams, partners and donors to align activities with IRC strategic objectives.
• Oversee data collection, surveillance and monitoring systems to track acute malnutrition and outbreak trends.
• Provide technical guidance on program planning, assessment, and emergency response.
• Ensure compliance with IRC policies, humanitarian standards and donor requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience managing health and nutrition programmes in humanitarian emergencies.
• Demonstrated leadership in multi‑partner environments.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to work in remote, insecure settings.
