Procurement Assistant

About the role

The Procurement Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and logistical support to the Procurement Unit of UNISFA in Abyei. Reporting to the Chief of Unit, Procurement, the role ensures smooth processing of procurement activities and related documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform office support and administrative procurement functions, including data entry and extraction.
• Monitor schedules, verify receipt of documents, and ensure compliance with legal and financial requirements.
• Research, compile, and organize information for reports, work plans, and briefings.
• Generate standard statistical reports and work orders using ERP databases.
• Provide secretarial and logistics support for meetings, boards, committees, and conferences.
• Assist in preparing presentation materials and sourcing procurement processes.
• Maintain paper and electronic files, databases, and supplier registrations in UNGM.
• Support supplier participation monitoring and other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to guide less experienced staff on office procedures and computer applications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for data management and reporting.
