About the role
UNICEF is seeking a National Research Assistant to support the qualitative midline data collection for the Maternal and Child Cash Transfers Plus (MCCT+) Phase IV evaluation in Sudan. The position is remote, allowing you to work from home while contributing to a high‑impact social protection programme.
Key responsibilities
- Design and conduct qualitative data collection activities, including interviews and focus groups, with MCCT+ beneficiaries.
- Ensure data quality, ethical compliance, and accurate transcription of field recordings.
- Collaborate with field teams and UNICEF Innocenti partners to coordinate data collection schedules.
- Assist in preliminary analysis and synthesis of qualitative findings.
- Prepare concise reports and briefing notes for the midline evaluation.
Required profile
- University degree in social sciences, public health, economics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in qualitative research, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Strong written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while working remotely.
