General Practitioner (GP) – Kassala, Sudan

About the role

Iqarus is seeking experienced General Practitioners to join its healthcare team in Kassala, Sudan. You will deliver 24/7 clinical care in a challenging, multi‑disciplinary environment, supporting both routine and emergency medical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe clinical care 24/7, treating illnesses and minor injuries for immediate return to work.
• Manage and stabilize trauma cases prior to evacuation to higher‑level facilities.
• Conduct medical examinations, vaccinations, and case reviews for the client.
• Maintain pharmacy and consumable stock levels, including a controlled‑drug register.
• Escalate serious, contagious, or parenteral cases to the client medical officer and Regional Medical Director.
• Assist with mass‑casualty incidents according to the Major Incident Plan and inform the Regional Medical Officer.
• Support delivery and administration of required medical training.

Required profile

• Medical graduate, fully licensed in the country of origin.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a General Practitioner with formal postgraduate training.
• Post‑graduate experience in emergency medicine, pre‑hospital medicine, or medical retrieval.
• Current certifications in ACLS/ALS and ATLS/ITLS/ETC/PHTLS.
